I usually change it in my garage. It's not as cramped.

I've never changed the oil in a washing machine, and I've owned several.

Was I sposed to?

Maybe that's why I've owned several.

Only if you don't want a fire hazard in your laundry room.

I've had this washer for the past 8 or nine years....never changed the oil. Maybe I should. Still works great though.

Only if you don't want a fire hazard in your laundry room.and that would be doubly bad for me since the litter box is in there. nothing quite like the stench of flaming cat poo, that's what i always say.

What the hell does candy have to do with keeping your washer running?

I bought my present washer in 1984 and have never changed the oil so I guess the answer for me is something in the range of every 25 years or so.

I make it a point to change it every time I put air in my aerial.

I think that you should change the oil at the same time you change out the air in the tires of your car. They run much better on fresh air. Just go to the station and let all of the air out and then pump them back up. You will notice the difference you drive away!

If you want to keep it running it's best not to put candy in it.

Er, if it's like a car's oil, would you need to change it all that often? At what RPM does a washing machine run? I mean, if you have to change every 3000 miles in a car, that would be a LONG time for a washing machine...

More often than I change it in my car :O

I'm very disturbed that people aren't changing the oil as they should.

Perhaps youse guys should pull out the owner's manual every once in a while?

I just got done with another oil change. It still runs like new. My washing machine is going to last me a long time.

I put one of those squeeze oil caps on mine. makes it real simple. You just squeeze in the new oil and the old oil comes out into a catch can. Only takes a few minutes
