What? They have the half-assed Mets' 120 loss season, a bunch of worthless track and field, golf, and bicycling, but no 47 game winning streak. SI can kiss my fanny! Kiss it, I say!

Our 48 game unbeaten streak isn't the longest unbeaten streak in college football. But the 47 game win streak is the longest in college football.

Washington went 63 games without a loss almost 100 years ago.

Nick's right...although 100 years sounds like a bit much. We've got the longest winning streak, Washington has the longest unbeaten streak. Fortunately people care more about winning streaks than unbeaten streaks.

READ MY HANDLE DADGUMMIT!

Espn's list there had only *2* college numbers, and they were both for college basketball.

If they would pay me a lot of money for 'consulting,' I'd clue them in on this huge market that loves college sports more than anything.

yeah, 59-0-4 from 1907 to 1917

http://www.cfbdatawarehouse.com/data/div_ia/pac10/washington/index.php

looks like a 32 game win streak between '09 and '14

If that list had been compiled by ESPN, they'd rank USC's 34 or whatever it was winstreak last year above OU's 47 gamer.

Our streak should have been mentioned. I think some of you people just disagree with Nick 100% of the time for funsies and just because hes Nick.

Thats not a very mature way to behave. ;)

Nick just posted something to try and sound smart. There was no mention of out "unbeaten" streak, the people Nick responded to thought that our "winning" streak should have been on there. I think we all believe that. There was no reason for Nick to bring up some unbeaten streak from the turn of the century. Who cares?

The first post was about our unbeaten streak. The poster said 48 game winning streak which is inaccurate. And so I corrected him.

If you would have corrected him then you would have said that it was a 47 game winning streak and a 48 game unbeaten streak. As it is written, there is no way of telling which he was talking about. You just wanted to seem smart. But, you aren't.

in a 48 game stretch we were 47-0-1 starting with a tie to Pitt

unbeaten - 48 games (2nd to 63 by UW)

winning streak - 47 games

the losses at the beginning and end were both to Notre Dame...

I agree, how in the hell does the longest win streak in college football history not make the list?

I say replace Tom Dempsey's 63 yd field goal record, that cheater... everyone knows he sawed off his toes to make the ball easier to kick. :D
