On the College Football page on ESPN they have a poll asking "Which one of these South teams has the best shot at the '06 Big 12 Crown?".
Results nationwide:
Oklahoma 51%
Texas 34%
aTm 8%
Texas Tech 7%
Texas, Rhode Island, and North Dakota are the only states that voted Texas, and Maine has it split with 33% going to each OU and Texas. OU covers the rest of the map.
