Today my latin band was supposed to drive to Grand Lake to play for the South Grand Lake Area Chamber of Commerce's annual Chili Cook-Off. So as we were just getting ready to pile in the van and start driving they called us and said they canceled the whole event - rain all day plus a tent collapse equals no gig. Although they'll pay us the $500 guarantee for booking that time. so that's not bad, but not as good as the $2,500 check we were planning to get. And now I've been up for four hours when I normally would just now be waking up.

Usually once every two or three weeks. This weekend, though , we were a bit busier. Cinco de Mayo and all. We played Thursday night at Pepe Delgado's, drove to Duncan to play for a golf club's party last night, and today we were supposed to be in Grand Lake. Our next gig is May 19th at Kongo's, but I'll be in Oregon auditioning that day.

Hey, that's great! We love seeing regulars at the shows.
