I'm getting hungry. Avoiding the catfish though. Messican sounds good.

Pearl's beyonces!

Just an FYI, the original Pearl's location on NW 63rd is closing forever in November. The dude who owns the land is going to bulldoze it and turn it into a parking lot. Seikel and co. are moving the operation over near Bell Isle Station and building a new restaurant that will also house the corporate offices on the 2nd floor. Rumors abound of a rooftop bar also.

Anyway, if you have any nostalgia for the original Pearl's (like I do), go eat there soon.

Yeah, Chesapeake is buying that whole damn area. I wondered how long it would be before Pearl's closed there.

Oh and I am having lunch with my bestie today after my massage. Not sure where we are going.

Roger that. One of the barkeeps at Pearl's told me that their landlord (yes, they've been leasing that spot for 30 years) is getting a pile of cash laid on him just for making a new parking lot for Chesapeake.

Superbar? Doesn't ring a bell? I always hit the drive-thru anyways.

I usually have Friday lunch with my Mom, Aunt and Brother but today it's going to be a turkey sandwich at the house with some Rotel dippage.

And also Laredo's, which was under construction in the Belle Isle area, but is currently halted due to construction shortfalls. :O

I don't got no prob with it, as long as my C'peake stock keeps going up!

Grilled hamburgers with a touch of BBQ sauce, soy sauce, chili powder and garlic salt. Oh, and blue cheese on a sesame seed bun.

I don't know where that falls on the hick / gay / heart attack meter but it's damn good.
