Allright all of my fellow Non-Hispanics :P This means you White folks, black folks, and Native Americans. In order to protest illegal immigration, I say we boycott Cinco De Mayo and for one day not buy any Tacos or enchilidas and also if anyone ask, we will call the The Fifth of May or May 5th!!! If we all do it, we can make it work..whose in!!

You know I had a epiphany the other day. I was looking a this kids myspace account I worked with. He could not spell for ****. It made him look like a real moran. I received this email today. I thought it was somewhat funny. Enjoy!


Most people don't know that back in 1912, Hellmann's mayonnaise was
manufactured in England. In fact, the Titanic was carrying 12,000 jars of
the condiment scheduled for delivery in Vera Cruz, Mexico, which was to be
the next port of call for the great ship after its stop in New York.


This would have been the largest single shipment of mayonnaise ever
delivered to Mexico. But as we know, the great ship did not make it to New
York. The ship hit an iceberg and sank, and the cargo was forever lost.

The people of Mexico, who were crazy about mayonnaise, and were eagerly
awaiting its delivery, were disconsolate at the loss. Their anguish was so
great, that they declared a National Day of Mourning, which they still
observe to this day.

The National Day of Mourning occurs each year on May 5th and is known, of
course, as Sinko de Mayo.

Flagstaff teen shot in Sunnyside

A Flagstaff teen was shot in the neck during a fight at a carnival event in Sunnyside Sunday evening.

The shooting appears to be gang-related.

Sgt. Tom Boughner of the Flagstaff Police Department said that the shooting happened about 8:30 p.m. on the 2500 block of North Fourth Street, in the parking lot where the carnival events were being held. A 911 call to police reported shots were fired.

When officers arrived, they found a 16-year-old boy with a bullet wound to the back of the neck. The bullet came out of the teen's cheek.

The teen was taken to Flagstaff Medical Center for treatment, and he is currently listed in stable condition, Boughner said.

According to witness statements, the incident began when threats were made during the festivities, Boughner said.

"There's every indication that this is gang-related," Boughner said.

At the time of the shooting, a gang presence was noted by police working in the area. Apparently a fist fight broke out among gang members. The reason for the fight is still being determined.

But during the fight, somebody fired warning shots into the air, Boughner said. When the fight continued, the gunman pointed at the teen's head and shot in an apparent attempt to murder the teen.

Police have identified at least two investigative leads in the case, Boughner said. The case is under investigation.

Boughner added that police in the area were asked by residents at the festivities to diminish their presence at the event, so that residents could enjoy the event without having police in such strong numbers.

Police complied with that request, Boughner said. The shooting happened afterward.

Coral Evans, director of the Sunnyside Neighborhood Association, said the incident happened after events related to SNA's Cinco de Mayo celebration had ended.

Residents who might have information about Sunday night's shooting are asked to contact the police department at 774-1414.
