What really irks my tater.... what really grinds my gears...

People who wear socks with flip flops. WHAT. IS. THE. DEAL?!

Everyime I see someone wearing their socks with flip flops, I get annoyed, for some strange reason, and being annoyed at people who wear socks and flip flops annoys me.

I saw it three times today. :mad:

Socks are there to wear with tennis shoes, so your feet stay comfy and to soak up your foot sweat. If you're wearing flip flops, its because its hotter outside, and you dont feel like wearing tennis shoes. So why wear the two together? Whats the point? WHY WHY WHY?!?!?!!

Actually, it's been known to happen.

I'm usually pretty laid back about everything... but for some reason... this will make me stop my wandering train of thought, screw up my face, and think to myself 'WHY?!?!'

You would certainly be annoyed at my appearance this evening. Taking a page right out of BigRedJed's Esquire Style handbook, I have on a pair of dress socks (that I actually wore to work today) - the black kind with some kind of design on them. They have designs on them so I can match them up when they come out of the dryer. Rockport walking shoes, a pair of cargo shorts - the ones with all the pockets, and a holey t-shirt (holey, not holy).

I went to the grocery store tonight wearing this garb.

But I bought beer, so I assume it's not an issue.

I dont do this, even though Im old, but I do know why people do it.
It keeps from wearing a sore spot on your feet.
As you get older, you will realize your skin gets thinner, and easier to bruise, cut and wear blisters.
Due to sun exposure over my life, and general old age, my forearms are so easy to cut it pi$$es me off. When my dog jumps up and puts his feet on my arms, I might as well get up and go stop the bleeding.

I still dont do the sock and flip thing. I just stick to tennis shoes.

In high school, a friend of my sister wore high heels and kneesocks.
Real high heels, with the pointy heel, about 2 1/2 or 3" tall.

We thought we were so sneaky when we would say knee-knock-a-neal. (Knee socks and heels) It still cracks my sister up when we talk about it..

Haha I don't know why we haven't partied....I go to OU. I am from Atoka originally. I do only wear one sock, it has gotten a few hot chicks to talk to me, so maybe it worked once and it became a habit in high school, I don't really know. I have been 23 for 2 centuries now!!

Its such a bad fashion statement to wear socks with sandals or flippys. My dad did that sometimes. He is a horn however, so what do you expect? ;)
