The cox cable missle thing sounds pretty neat

There was a cox utility guy in our back yard tracing the cable with his orange paint a little while ago.He told me that they're upgrading the cable in the neighborhood.

I asked if they were going to trench the neighborhood and he said, "no, we'll just be digging a few 2'x4' holes along the right of way and will be sending a missle through pulling the cable."

I guess they have a pneumatic missle that just pounds its way through the dirt about 2 feet down and pulls cable behind it. They aim it from hole to hole and send it on its way. Apparently, it's not even bothered by tree roots.

He said you can hear it tink tink tinking its way underground when it moves through.

That's kind of cool.
