Yes, much larger than hill dogs......

The Mountain dogs know not the ways of the Hill dogs. They are crude and break much wind. The Valley dogs harvest much grain but they do not hunt like the Hill dogs. Do not let the Mountain dogs walk with your Hill dog women.

BMD are great dogs- friendly, large, stubborn.
Check with a rescue group. They can give you the best info.
