One thing that I do not like is when an acronym's plural form is indicated by "apostrophe s." Examples: CD's, DVD's, STD's. That's wrong.

Omit the fuggin' apostrophe thank you. Practice safe secks too.

Someone actually said it to me today and athough they corrected themselves it got me thinking(which can sometimes be a dangerous thing)

Perhaps it's a combo acronym/contraction.

In FAQ's

the apostrophe takes place of the letters, "uestion."
