I know I heard on the radio the other day that Kejuan got picked up by the Redskins. Has anyone else heard this? I wonder if they meant Chijioke...

I know I am not hallucinating. It would've been either on the Buzz or the Sports Animal around 5:00 yesterday. I have been looking around and cannot find mention of it anywhere.

I know he was bitter toward OU and all that, but I am still rooting for him.

does anyone really think KJ has any kind of chance in the nfl regardless if he signs a FA contract?

I hope he does. Unfortunately he may be on the Tulsa Talons express.

Somebody will pick him up for all those new DE's and DT's to wail on, then send him packing.

It's a free agent try-out.

i just wonder why all the talk about KJ not being drafted and whether or not he's signed a FA contract.

he's slightly better than donta hickson. if hickson didn't have fumble-itis, i wouldn't even be able to say that.

give me the ball 40 times on the six inch line and i could probably punch a few in.

i'm not trying to rag on KJ. he played with a ton of heart most of the time. i'm just trying to be realistic about his skills just like other players we've had.

jenks: legend
OU: role player/stop gap
af2: ??

Kejuan will be drafted by the NFL. His career has been stuck between the end of an All American's and the begining of a Superstar's.

I'll wager that OU finishes higher in the BCS rankings than TCU.

I'm not saying KJ is a top draft choice but he'll be drafter. He turned more than a few heads at the last two Pro Days at OU.

As a matter of fact he is refered to as the best back up RB in college football by Keith Jackson and others.

Put KJ behing a good NFL line and he'll produce. As a matter of fact KJ is in the top of just about every RB catigory at OU.

When OU wins our bowl game and finish 9-3, we'll pass you beacuse we'll be vaulted to the to 10-15 in the AP & Harris Polls.

Enjoy your "Glory Year." I bet it was fun.

Locals sign with NFL teams
By Staff Reports
5/2/2006

Several local football players have agreed to free-agency deals with NFL teams.

OSU had four players who signed free-agency contracts: Jamie Thompson with the New York Jets; Lawrence Pinson, Arizona Cardinals; Daniel McLemore, Tennessee Titans; and Shawn Willis, San Diego Chargers.

TU return specialist Ashlan Davis has agreed to terms with the Indianapolis Colts.

OU cornerback Chijioke Onyenegecha has reached a free-agency agreement with the Washington Redskins.

OU tailback KeJuan Jones has also been invited to a free-agency tryout with the Washington Redskins..

Kejuan was the perfect back for us in certain situations. he's not in Q's league but he was a great player for us.

Kejuan's finest moments were in the Sugar Bowl before Chuck shut down the offense.

I don't agree with you often, but here I do.

I wish Kejuan didn't have such sour grapes, but if I was as good of a player as he was at football (and, if I was a guy), I may feel the same way, bitter about a freshman standout taking my starting spot.

After all, it is a competitive situation. He had a right to be PO'd at Chuck Long, though. Hell, I'm still PO'd at Chuck Long, and not just for that Sugar Bowl.

Every time he came back to Jenks, he talked mad smack on AD....allegedly. All hearsay, but I believe it now.

he can talk all the smack he wants; the fact is that no rational coach in the free world would have not put AD ahead of Kejuan on the depth chart. he had lots of heart, but was totally out of Adrians league of talent.
way to burn your brigdes kejuan!!

He was/is a straight line runner that could get you 1-3 yards in a cloud of smoke. Thats what the coaches asked him to be the first year he was at OU and thats what he stayed. The one time I thought I saw him coming out of that mold was in the towards the end of the 03 season and in the Sugar Bowl. He seemed to show a little flash. He was a good back at OU but unfortunalty he'll probably be forgotten because he played after Q, who everybody loved, and before AD, who is a man amoung boys. Hope he gets a shot in the NFL, but I doubt it. However, look at what Priest Holmes has down. After backing up Hippy Lettuce Williams and never really getting a shot, he has turned himself into one of the top backs in the NFL. You never know.

BRR did you neg me because your bold prediction was wrong and I pointed it out?No, I negged ya because you're a dipstick and you seem to have (like many ladies) a Big Red Ron compulsion. He'll get his shot and I hope he surprises some folks. BTW-the noles are our beeches. ;)
