I have several old computers, they still work, but are really old. Does one just dumpster these things??

remove your hard drive and destroy it.
donate the rest to the nearest Vo-tech school. they love getting crap like that.

i met a guy the other day that works for a group that takes junky computers and sets them up for schools etc...

how old are they? Pentiums?

I know nothing about what they are. When they get a coupla years old, I buy a new one. The shooting of them or beating them with a large stick, as suggested, seems the most fun. But I believe I will see if the local vo-tech will take 'em.

Every year a friend of mine refurbs one and gives it to a local hs senior that is planning to go to college. it's like a scholarship thing, they write a little essay and stuff.
