I'm watching Sportscenter's ramp-up to the start of the draft, and with Houston already signed Mario Williams, all of ESPN's "ohmigod, Reggie Bush is teh AWEXOME!!!!!11" video packages and highlight reels just make me laugh. Bush is gonna be the most hyped #2 pick EVAR...:D

Yeah, why would Houston give a rat's *** about all that? Are they afraid they'll get probation if they drafted him? :P

Man, I love watching that ******-nozzle squirm...

bri

bri
4/29/2006, 11:49 AM
Well, it was two Trojans and two Horns...so let's not be TOO shocked that they agreed to something that gay. :D

I think we should do a shot every time an overhyped SUC player gets passed up for a lineman. :D :D :D

watching them pimp these guys reminds me of the dirty dozen scene....Donald Sutherland is pretending to be a general inspecting the troops - "sure they're pretty, but can they fight"

personally i think leinart is pretty good, the cowboys need a QB of the future and i wouldnt have been upset had they traded up to get him

Unless you're from Ireland or from Africa and have one of those 'click-click' names, there's no reason to have an apostrophe in your name.

I can't understand why the hell the NFL can't speed up the process already. MLB does 50 rounds in 2 days. How is it then that the NFL isn't even halfway through round 1 yet?

Because there's not as much demand for media coverage and speculation over which 17-year-old pitcher will be picked next?

Marketing and TV - the NFL uses the draft to their advantage.

MLB treats it like a national secret after the first round.

not quite a national secret, its just that nobody cares. look, its fine to have the marketing and speculation and all the hoo-hah, but seriously, you can get that done just fine without having to go so godamn long between picks. make yer pick and sit the **** down! seriously, its putting me to sleep.
