If you KNOW you don't want Reggie Bush, why not trade down and get both Williams AND some more picks? Or maybe trade down and pay Wiilliams a little less?

If Williams is the choice, the only team they would have traded with was the Saints. The Saints are happy as **** because now they can trade down and not have to pay #2 money.

I see New Orleans trading with the Jets and taking Ferguson. They really want an OT without having to pay #2 money, and if they trade down any further, Ferguson might not be on the board.

trwxxa is right...williams was in all likelihood going to be taken second by either the saints or a team who traded up for that pick. New Orleans wasn't going to trade up one spot, so the only way houston gets williams is if they take him first.
