weird that someone would make a different interface for almost the same trick

maybe they just wanted to add the Arabic?

They want to scare the terrorists into believing that Westerners have psychic powers.

I figured if you pointed at the number that corresponds with your number then it would pop up that image, so I pointed at a different number and it still popped up the image of my number...

I'm a dumba** though

Got it. I didn't time myself, but also took a break in there. I have no attention span.

And they change.

This is the tricky part that had me scratching my head the first time I saw this.

Similar to that trick with that magician guy and a deck of cards.

And yes, I realize how non-descriptive that is. Deal.

smallest 2-digit number you can have is 10. Total of the digits is 1, subtract from ten and your new number is 9. now, for each number 11-19 you increase your distance from 9 by 1, but you also add one to the sum of the digits, so the answer will always be 9. Starting at 20 the digit sum is 2, but you are now 2 away from 18. From 20 to 29 the same principle applies. Etc. etc. you'll always land on a multiple of 9.

so all they have to do is make sure the program puts the same symbol on each multiple of 9 and display that.
