But you hillbillies heard the story of that 13 year old who got an exemption to this week's event from the guy whose name is on the tourney because her mother has terminal cancer? Kid shot a 2 over on day one.

I'm afraid I'd end up on NBC's "Predators" if I tried to Google anything about her.......hell of a future golfer though..

This is an incredible story...the girl is just trying to make her mom proud before she dies from cancer.

Man...that will bring a tear to you eye.

man, how could any 13yr old even concentrate when something like that is going on in their life. that'd be cool if she makes the cut....doubtful though

she missed the cut. :( Shot 82 yesterday.

I saw the story on ESPN last weekend. Very touching.

Great story, but the Mother is quoted as saying,"We've been waiting for this opportunity for a long time."

??? The kid is friggin 13!

I am happy she got to see this, though.

"Big Break" on The Golf Channel ain't bad. Watch close and you can figure out the camera angles are all about the babe factor. Even though the hotness is suspect.
