yeah but gdc, it's fair to say that more than a few of us have had issues at home that were quite serious in nature and we haven't gone out of our way at times to be malicious in posting in terms of dealing with other posters. Venting is one thing, but consistently attacking people is another.

It's like the kid who keeps breaking the law, do you keep releasing them into society until they kill someone, or do you try to find a way to curb that behavior before it reaches that point?

I find it curious, gdc, that you chose the wording you did for the various options. I don't feel like I want him to "rot" anywhere. But he had lots of chances, lots of warnings, and chose Dean as one of his continuous targets. Not smart.

I guess I missed most of these attacks. I did see some mutual bickering between Thunder and some of these people but apparently not what started it. I tend to ignore most flareups on the board, unless they're entertaining. :)

i personally have no issues with thunder, hell, ive even got spek from him before. but he was banned by the higher up's for some reason, apparently a good one, ive seen the big dogs get baned and they all seemed to agree that even though it SUCKED, it was their bad and deserved it. ive been here since late last year and i like the way this board runs, you can do alot of $hit on here before they cut your throat...ALOT of $hit, so if you get permabaned i'd have to say that it was well deserved. i read some of the flame wars between him and a few other posters and was always like wtf, where did his comments come from. you cant expect to get along with everyone everywhere especially on an internet message board...but he would sometimes bring comments from nowhere, seemingly just to pi$$ people off. what i always found odd was it was most always with another bigtime poster, i could never understand that. what he said about pg and norm (i know it was a yahoo board) was very distasteful and uncalled for, if that wasnt a personal attack then i dont know what is.

They cut the skin off of it with a scalpel, then popped it out, which left a big bloody hole, then stuck a needle in there to inject some pain killer then cauterized it. I actually have had two. Fockers they are.

I had yeast injected into each one of them. It doesn't kill the wart, but it kind of sends up a flare for the body to send help. Them shots is painful. The dude would stick the needle in and just twist it around to the new spot. I had two rounds of shots combined with acid application that removed the skin over the area and eventually what was left of the warts.

I must have had 15-20.

He's threatened to kick my *** a few times, although not so much since I've been an admin. I don't really like banning people and I sort of like there to be a little bit of tension around here, so I've always let it go. But he has done enough around this place to me and to others (especially PG) to deserve his ban. And to blame people not liking him on cliques? Give me a freaking break. It had nothing to do with cliques.

To be fair, he was dealing with some pretty serious issues, including the fragile health of a newborn. Sometimes people need to vent. What better way than an online forum like this where no one actually gets hurt?

I usually stay out of political threads, so I don't know any specifics between him and Dean, but he's always had it in for me, way before I became an admin. It seems like he was always making snotty comments to me or about me then he'd annoy me to the point where I'd say the right thing to **** him off and then he'd go all ape **** on me. He's threatened to kick my *** a few times, although not so much since I've been an admin. I don't really like banning people and I sort of like there to be a little bit of tension around here, so I've always let it go. But he has done enough around this place to me and to others (especially PG) to deserve his ban. And to blame people not liking him on cliques? Give me a freaking break. It had nothing to do with cliques.

I try to keep things in perspective that this is just a message board, but sometimes you have to do things to at least make it somewhat fun to be on here. If that means banning a troublemaker, then that's what needs to be done.

regarding cliques. there's cross pollenation that you'd never see in a highschool or in many other non-matrix relationships. the thunder ban was an interclique effort if I've ever seen one.

Thunder simply received what he'd been begging for for a very long time. Nothing more, nothing less.

Sometimes people (me in this case) get tired of the same old tired schtick over time. Kinda like my old man when I was a kid. I'd do something, and my mom would say "I'm gonna tell your dad." So when dad comes home she goes "let me tell you what Dean did today." My dad would always grind his teeth and go "don't let me catch ya' boy" and then walk away. Finally, it'd be something simple. Like not cutting the bushes that day while he was at work. He'd come home, and go Charles Manson on my ***. I'm thinking like "dude, I'm getting this nuclear beatdown for not cutting the bushes?" and he's simply responding to the accumulation of stress over a long period of time. Everybody has a breaking point. When the camel's back finally snaps, it's usually because there's already a ton of sticks piled up.

And everybody has life issues/stress/bad **** happen. It is not a license to be a foreskin core. People die, get sick, have issues every single day. Treating other people like **** because you're having a crap life simply isn't acceptable behavior.

From an outsider's perspective....

Many of you have seen me mixing it up pretty well with a few posters ... and there are intelligent and clever ways to attack a person's viewpoints, ideas or posts without getting into an attack on the person him, or herself. Of course, I have much thicker skin than most.

At the end of the day, there are rules in place (yes, sometimes different for us Horns) and the rules are expected to be followed. Clearly, the High Sheriffs on here let people get away with much more, and let those rules be pushed more than Katy over at hornfans.com.. and much, much, much more than the Kaisers at texags....

yet.. as Dean so eloquently put (Dean, you should have been an urbanite).. it is more the body of work, a collection of consistent offenses, that does a person in, instead of an individual offense.
