Never heard of him....

"Jackson was a USA Today Preseason Super 25 player and was one of
seven Husker recruits who played in the U.S. Army All-American game
in January. Jackson also starred in the Pasco secondary and was
ranked as the nation’s No. 2 safety prospect by recruiting expert Tom
Lemming. Rivals.com listed Jackson as the No. 2 prospect in the state
of Washington, the 47th-best overall player in the country and the
No. 4 athlete prospect in the country. Scout.com listed Jackson No.
16 on its West Hot 100 List, as the No. 12 back in the country and
the No. 89 overall prospect in the country. Jackson was ranked as the
11th-best back by College Football News and the No. 4 athlete in the
country by SuperPrep Magazine."

The rumor has him headed back home ..."likely will end up at
Washington".

don't blame him really. Callahan didn't seem to be sure of where to use the kid in the year he was at Nebraska...he ended up playing 3 positions last year.

I'm not shocked by this, Jackson got shuffled around quite at bit this year, he spent most of the year on defense, switched to WR before the bowl game, and back to RB for spring. There was a lot of talk about how he struggled learning the defense, and he really wanted to be a RB. Nebraska has a logjam at RB to an extent right now with Brandon Jackson, Lucky, incoming JUCO Kenny Wilson, and the surprise emergence of Cody Glenn. Glenn was a recruiting afterthough, and I think he will be the starter in the fall. Jackson may eventually have to find a home on defense where ever he ends up due to his build, he is very tall for a running back. In any event these things happen, and I hope is successful elsewhere.

i'm shocked. shocked i say. for the record, this is what boo was best at. he would earmark 2 guys for recruitment - a super blue chip and an unknown kid with one other offer. the blue chip wouldn't qualify and the unknown kid would be a 1st rounder...
