they're still around? i saw them open for Page & Plant in the early 90s. Bought one of their CD's as a result. then i kinda just forgot about em.

The 'bammer and the coonass seem to know what it is, so it must be a hillbilly thing.
Awesome, but I haven't pulled that CD out in about 8 years.

digging out some old sounds tonight. I haven't thought about them in a long time either. One of my favorites is "Evil Ways." They did a great job on that one.

I liked Rusted Root well enough until I had a very very very bad experiance watching Ice Age which has a rusted ro.ot song in the movie. Anyway, I can't watch it anymore.

I still think they're a mixture of hippie jam band crap and Paul Simon, with Chevy Chase standing in the background somewhere.
That being said, I don't totally hate them.

Heh! Maybe that's why I like them. I never thought about the Paul Simon thing - you are right. Nothing wrong with a hippie jam band IMO.;)

I hadn't ever heard them til I saw them open for Santana at the Gorge Amphitheater in Washington. (incredible venue BTW) They were pretty fun to watch.
