Gary England Drinking Game
By Canada and Moose

Pregame
1. Everyone selects a storm chaser other than Val Caster. Every time Gary talks to your storm chaser, you take one drink. Take two drinks every time we see footage from your storm chaser. Take four drinks if your storm chaser says "tornado on the ground."

2. Everyone selects a county other than Pottawatomie County. Every time Gary mentions your county, you take one drink. Take two drinks every time we see footage from your county. Take four drinks if a tornado touches down in your county.

One drink
1. Take one drink every time Gary says the following:
"Hook echo" | "Updraft" | "Metro" | "Doppler radar" | "Wall cloud" | "Ranger 9" | "Underground" | "Mobile home"

2. When Gary gives a list of counties, take one drink for every county in the list.

3. Take one drink every time Gary interrupts a program. Take one drink if Gary says "You're not missing any of [program name]." Take one drink when Gary says "We'll keep you advised."

Two drinks
1. Take two drinks every time Gary says the following:
"Baseball-sized hail" | "Waterloo Road" | "Pottawatomie County" | "Deer Creek High School"

2. Take two drinks every time Gary mentions the following towns:
Altus | Burns Flat | Dill City | Gotebo | Hydro | Lookeba | Meeker | Mulhall | Oktaha | Olustee | Shattuck | Slaughterville | Tryon | Vici | Waukomis | Wayne (or Payne) | Weleetka | Wetumkah

3. Take two drinks every time Gary talks to Val Caster.

Three drinks
1. Take three drinks if we see footage from Val Caster.

2. Take three drinks if we see footage from Pottawatomie County.

3. Take three drinks if Gary mentions the following:
"Immediate tornado precautions" | "National Weather Service" | "Mesocyclone" | "Portable Radio" | "Take shelter" | "Tornado warning in effect until …"

Four drinks
1. Take four drinks if Ranger 9 must land to refuel.

2. Take four drinks if Gary issues his own tornado warning, not recognized by the NWS or says the following:
"Will someone please answer that phone?" | "Do you see power flashes?"

3. Take four drinks if a shirt-less tornado victim is interviewed.

Finish your drink
1. Finish your drink if someone uses the word tornado as a verb or if Gary mentions the nearest cross streets to you.

2. If Gary says "We've lost Val," pour a little out for your homies and finish your drink.

Newbomb Turk

We are in NW El Reno and had tons of baseball-sized hail-our girls saved about a dozen stones in the freezer! And, the tornado that didn't hit the airport was straight out our front door! I've been waiting for years to spot my first live tornado, and tonight was it-I'm still full of adrenalin! I'm such an Okie geek. Unfortunately, the Mommy Gene kicked in, so between that and the close proximity of the tornado, I wasn't able to enjoy it as much as a true hillbilly should.

WHAT IS A GETTNER - OR GITTNER? HOWEVER YOU SPELL IT.

Gittner (I think thats the spelling) is the little gadget that allows them to patch calls from cell phones/satellite phones into the live feed on air. The name comes from inventor of that little box I think.

I chased for KFOR in 2003, and got to call that little bugger a few times.

I think you might have a little weather blood in your veins :D Trust me, it's contagious and lethal. I had it from birth.

saw softball hail 1 time. i will never forget it. Nw 50th and rockwell, heading to make a pickup at jet services. Driving the bosses brand new ford 1 ton flst bed.. He was really proud of that truck. I sure hated to take it back to the dock.

i thought somebody had jumped on the bed and was beating the cab with a baseball bat. it did a very impressive job be beating the cab and all the glass out of the truck. Oh yea, i still made the pickup.

I saw honest baseball-sized hail once. 1992 in Wichita. smashed windows out of about every car in Wichita. Probably 1/4 of the city had to be re-roofed, replace sgns, windows, etc.

I should proclaim that I have actually been struck by a baseball size hail stone in the ankle in Western Oklahoma in 2004. It swelled like a mo'fo and turned purple. Not my proudest moment as a storm chaser ;)

I've seen between golf & baseball sized. Never baseball in person, though.

I have seen Softball-sized!!! Had to get a new roof. Sounded like a war was going on.

I got in the car at the ballpark a little before 8 and those yaks on KTOK kept saying "it hit the airport" but they would never say which airport. Sheesh, I didn't know what happened til I got home. We got a little rain in Moore, but nothing else.

It made the local news at 11pm down here. They showed a brief pic of the demon itself and then an aerial of the El Reno airport for about 5 secs.
They spent twice as much time showing the baseball size hail that fell in Kansas. Wiped out a bunch of police cruisers.

Hope none of you SF'ers was damaged.

One of my dad's cars got beat up, and they may have to have their house re-roofed. Dad said the hail was about racquetball-sized.

If I had a baby, I wouldn't set it out in the driveway during a hail storm.

No, they kept saying THE airport like it was the only one in the metro area.

That cell tracked directly over El Reno, Page, and Wiley Post. Yesterday was a bad day for airplanes. :(
