LUBBOCK, Texas — For the 14th time this season and the second time in the series, the No. 13 Oklahoma baseball team rallied from behind for an 8-2 victory over Texas Tech on Sunday at Dan Law Field.

Trailing 2-1 through three innings, the Sooners posted single runs in the fourth and fifth frames to regain the lead and then put the game out of reach with a five-run eighth to complete the series sweep of the Red Raiders. OU outhit Texas Tech 16-9 and was led by Jackson Williams career-high four hits (2 RBI).

OU has now won back-to-back Big 12 series via a sweep, the first time it has done so since the 2004 season (swept three straight over Baylor, Kansas and Missouri). The last time the Red Raiders were swept at home was against Nebraska during the 2000 season.

OU improved to 32-10 overall and 11-4 in the Big 12, while Texas Tech fell to 26-17-1 and 6-10-1.

Sunday's victory also extended the Sooners' winning streak to a season-high ten games. The last time OU won ten-straight games was during the 1998 season (Feb. 2-24). That squad opened the year with a 12-game winning streak.

Williams put OU on the board first with a RBI single in the second inning. The Sooners have scored first in the last four games and are 23-3 this season when posting the game's first run. Williams finished the game with a career-high four hits and also connected for two RBI in the game.
