Last night was my company’s annual party. I was the first to arrive at my department’s table and I was bored. I asked the waiter for a beer and he said that they weren’t serving the stuff. The CEO is a “born again” person, so maybe “they” decided no booze. So, I go to the local supermarket and buy two bottles of Johnnie Black and two bottles of champagne.

They did serve beer, wine and whiskey with soda. And, they did set us up with pitchers of beer and soda and buckets of ice to go along with my whiskey and champagne.

I do remember dancing on a stage somewhere, somehow.

Okay, that’s the best of my memory at the moment.

I remember taking some pics and, in an attempt to re-construct last night, I decided to look at the pics on the camera this morning. Well that would be a good idea if I could find my camera.

This could turn out quite badly.

I’m going to the hotel now to try to recapture my camera.

Damn you, drunkytown.

Haulover Beach (the south end by Bal Harbour, not the nudist end closer to Sunny Isles), 1993.

Pentax K1000, 28-80 lens, 80-200 telephoto, 2X converter, film, nice camera bag.

Disappeared. Didn't realize it was all missing for three or four days. Don't remember how I got home or who took me.

Happens to the best of us. Ya gotta shrug it off and move on.

I went to the Dusit Thani hotel this morning and they don't have my camera.

I called my colleagues and the last one I called had my camera. She doesn't want me to pick it up this weekend. Maybe, she's posting pics on the internet. I just hope it's not on one of those "priceless" websites.

I did find out that I won a lucky draw during the party. Heh! A gift check for $75! So the evening wasn't a total wash out, or not, at least, yet.

VJ, losing that type of camera sucks. But, I would have been much more bummed out if I lost a camera after visiting a nudist beach.

Would you have kept calling people after you found it? ;) :D

Good point SB68. On the positive side, I know at least six people are still willing to talk to me this morning.

How my motorcycle got home is still a mystery.

And, then I'm told I got home by a van.

The only company van is the CEO's and that really is a scary and sobering thought.

Heh! My resume may need some work, but I still have a job, as of today. Knock on wood.

But, the pics are far worse than I could have possibly imagined (sober that is).

I can blame part of it on the dancing girls because you know they made us all dance.

Okay, this one is of me. Actually, it’s just my arm.

I'm sure nobody remembers you. How could a large white man in a room full of Asian people stand out?
