you know, people who actually PLAY THEIR OWN INSTRUMENTS, I'm starting to think The Eagles are the best ever. The vocal harmony of "Lyin' Eyes" gives me the chills.

That's...really all. Sorry.

The Eagles of Death Metal> The Eagles > Death Metal.

Also never trust a band who lets their drummer sing.

Maybe I'm not so weird for listening to only classic rock, metal, and country

I'm probably the only person in Tulsa (when I'm there) who goes back and forth between 99.5 and 104.5

Every time "Witchy Woman" comes on, VK stares off into the distance, oblivious to everything but the song.

heh, and do you do that for Desperado?

VK, could you just not talk now? (Desperado playing in background)

Ken Stabler once referred to the SF 49ers former head coach as "Joe Walsh."

I think Stabler's mind was on driving his Maserati 185 or something.

I'm cool with the Eagles, my brother has some of their old vinyls.

and Joe Walsh going solo was like listening to a musical crap.

as long as the gloves are off.....the early eagles "country" stuff is a straight rip-off of Gram Parsons.

you need to broaden yourself. you can't listen to real rock all of the time.
try Pure Prairie League, Poco or Firefall. more good light cheesey country rock.

Eagles have a few good songs, esp. "Take it to the Limit", but #1 American band.. no way.

The new band is called Nine Inch Hootie

I'm a big fan of Gram Parsons, Pure Prairie League, BW Stevenson, America, etc... Very little of what I listen to is actually "rock", I just don't get the Eagles obsession some people have.

I would say Metallica has sold more records and made more $$$$ than The Eagles! Of course i could be wrong. This topic strictly depends on what era you grew up in. Metallica actually sucks now but i would say they are the best American band to ever grace the instruments and stage.

Nevermind. I found out the eagles have sold more records. I still would like to see the overall $$$ totals however.

Because a $ in today's money is exactly the same as it was a few decades ago...

Yep. ;)

If nothing else, you must admit that Don Henley is one helluva song writer. That Fry dude wasn't bad either.
