I decided to start another thread so as not to mess up a great thread about a fallen Marine.

Anyhoo, I noticed that in one of the pictures there are some WWII vets sitting in a school cafeteria with their M1's on the cafeteria tables. I thought that was weird. I'm surprised that the anti-gun nuts haven't thrown a fit about that.

I don't think it's a big deal, just different to see in today's society.

Sylvester Bad Cob, center, a veteran of WWII and Korea, gathers with other Lakota veterans in the cafeteria of Little Wound School in Kyle, South Dakota, on January 15, 2006. Lakota veterans from throughout the area gathered to pay their respects to Marine Cpl. Brett Lundstrom, who was killed in Iraq on January 7, 2006.

Anyone that does actually complain about it needs to stand in front of one of them while the vet holding it pulls the trigger...

just sayin...

Yeah but I wouldn't be surprised if someone did complain. In fact, I think it's probably technically against the law, however some common sense should always be applied to any situation and common sense is like kryptonite to most school districts.

Maybe the Lakota haven't abandoned common sense.

It makes me think that, if I were German or Japanese soldier, I would not have wanted to fight those guys.

The good part is, if that's Lakota property, they can tell everyone else to p1ss-off.

Kinda like our Indian casinos who say the same thing to the new statewide no-smokey rules.:D

Sovereign nationhood has some cool bennies.
