I know, I know, gas sucks, blah, blah, blah.... take yer charcoal comments and wait for them to heat up elsewhere. :D
Anyways, I need a new grill. Unfortunately, my dogs thought they found a small furry mammal under the grill and knocked it over in the heat of battle, breaking my grill in the process.
I like inexpensive ($150-300ish), and don't need all the bells and whistles or more than 2 burners. I want sturdy manufacturing and reliable starting. Where to look in OKC metro?
Anyone have recommendations?

Lowe's has some decent stuff in that price range.
Mine was about $200 and has 3 burners + side burner and no plasic. Porceline covered cast iron grates.

I think they had one I liked better the other day when I was in there.

If you're looking in that price range, Lowe's and Home Depot would be your best bet. They'll have a good selection of grills to choose from. I think American Propane on the Broadway Extention service road between 63rd and Britton has some higher end stuff you might want to look at just for s&g's.

I just bought one of these last month. I love it! Heats up fast & good temp control. It's kind of a pain to clean though.

$h!ts.
And I bought mine very recently at Home Depot: a Char-broil 40,000 btu grill, side burner, enameled cast-iron grates. Only $159.00

An employee friend got the one for me with employee discount and a full tank for the price of an exchange. Ended up with the whole thing, tax and all, for less than the sticker price.

I'll go back to the big box stores and take another look. The one I had that was broken from the tip over was $175 at Lowes about 2 years ago. It wasn't as stout as I'd like. Can't expect much for that price though I suppose...

I bought this (http://www.lowes.com/lowes/lkn?action=productDetail&productId=13133-46487-SLG2006B&lpage=none) over the weekend. Like it so far. Cooked pretty much everything in the freezer last night.
People still use gas grills?

Anyone know where to buy a natural gas (rather than propane) grill? I've considered converting my propane grill (drill the orafices), but I would rather just start fresh.

I looked at that one, but it had a porcelain heat plate, which only carried a 3 year warranty. The stainless steel heating element has a 10 year warranty. That made my decision.

The real beauty of that pic is the little kid watching his dad stick a hose up his arse. He could be scarred for life.
