I'll Start-

"Let the other guys play, coach."

-Sooner Legend, Quentin Griffin 2003 Rose Bowl. He could have had about two more carries in the 4th quarter and broken OU's single season rushing record, held by Billy Sims at the time. Instead he let his buddies play who deserved the memories of playing in the Rose Bowl.

I love Q. What a great man and a GREAT Sooner. There is no I in Team, or in Q. He didnt give a rats about a stupid rushing record. One of my favorite Sooners ever, and finished his great career in true style.

Who had the "Please God don't let the best team win" quote against Nebraska? I think it was in the late 80s.

T-Marsh is the greatest, along with that entire 2000 team. What a special, special team. Unfortunately, nothing will ever duplicate that season. I am just glad that I got to witness it. Maybe it is hindsight bias, but there doesn't seem to be any characters on the team like some of those guys were.

there's some quote from Thomas Lott about wearing the red bandana under his helmet (so effin cool).....it was for "pub". publicity. and the journalist was thinking there was some kind of secret special reason.

Ryan Fisher, after OU beat Florida State in the 2001 Orange Bowl. His response to a reporter's question over what he thought about Miami feeling that they should have played Oklahoma or at least had a share of the national title:

"They can share 2nd place."

I still like, "How much rice can a Chinaman eat?"

Edit: Did Switzer say that or a reporter? Either way not a player. I'll take myself out of this game now, coach.:P
