I've got a meeting down at the Moore/Norman Vo-Tech next week and was wondering about a nice place to stay while down there.

Could someone recommend a nice hotel/motel?

TIA. :D

This looks like a nice place:

Drifter Motel
Address: 2856 N Shields Blvd, Moore, OK 73160
Phone: (405) 794-4331

You can't go wrong with any place called the Drifter. :D

I think it's on South Pennsylvania . . .There aren't any hotels in that area. The closest ones are going to be either in Norman or on I-240. Moore has a Microtel which in my experience traveling across Oklahoma are always nice. http://www.microtelinn.com/reservations/locationdetail.asp?facid=148

Microtels are consistently clean, no-frills places

I sold my old house on Janeway in Moore, but if you want to see if they'll let you sleep over, I'll put in a good word.

Our office is up near 56th and Portland. I might just stay up that way so I'll have stuff to do. Drivin' down from there would be better than back and forth from Stillwater.

If your office is up that way, Marriott on the Expressway is the way to go. YWIA!

Yeah that Marriott is nice. We could have a SF get together at VZD's too.

I grew up off Janeway, behind Kelley Elem.

On 240 there's a Holiday Inn Express, conviently located behind Krispy Kreme.

My son would have attended Kelley, had we not moved.

The place looks a lot different since the tornado.

The building is a Tech Center, but it's operating under the CareerTech system. Not Vo-Tech.

Stay at the Saddleback Inn at Reno and Meridian. Easy drive to the South OKC campus and you can literally walk to Night Trips in the evening.

Heh. Career Tech.

I usually stay at the Hampton Inn right across NW Expressway from Hooters. I'm not sure where I'll shack up yet.

A dinner would be fun if ya'll promise not to try and corrupt me. :P

I'm scheduled to be there next Wednesday-Thursday with another meeting in OKC on Friday.

was it the kind of trouble where you started gaining weight and then your parents sent you away and you came back 5 months later and were normal again?

I don't know . . . my wife is tryin' to talk me into drivin' back and forth, but I'm not really wantin' to. I've done that the last few times I've had stuff going on down there and it got kinda old.

I probably wouldn't be much of a party animal anyway. I'd just watch all you peeps drink your zimas and stuff.
