I played 9 holes last Saturday and I used my stepdad's extra clubs. He had 56* and 60* Vokey wedges in there. They are the 'spin milled' thingys. I nailed the 60* right at the pin but was worried because it looked like I hit it too hard.

The ball landed about 10 feet past the pin and rolled back to about 2 feet away. I have never, ever, ever had the ball come back like they do on TV.

I promptly stole the stepdad's wedges. I tried to buy them but he told me that I could have them.

sharp grooves eh. I recall Hairy saying the same about his new wedges.
you gotta hit down on the ball fairly hard to get good spin. around the greens, move the ball forward a bit and it'll spin more.:twinkies:

I almost took some 10* Ping Si3 something or another driver too but I thought that was bit much. He said that I could have the clubs. They are Mizuno T Zoids. I currently have a set of TM LCGs. Should I swap?

And do these replace my PW and SW or my SW and LW?

When you're nice to people, people are nice to you.:D

He gives me things and I let him sleep with my mother. I think I'm getting the better end of this deal.

t-zoids are ok. that's a judgement call.

they replace your SW and LW.

I just talked to Bruce, he said you couldn't carry his son's jock in the golf arena and to buy a bowling ball.

he also said you shouldn't buy a bowling ball unless you understand the physics behind the bowling movement.

well then you need some Vokeys - just make sure you hit em far enough, cause they spin back like a mutha.

Can these wedges spin a ball about 40 feet to the right? Cause, if so, that'd be great.

:D

Why do you hate my golf game?

Speaking of though, I need to get out in the next couple of weeks and hit some balls, even if just at the range. That company golf outing is just around the corner. You in for the range one night?

Yeah, sounds good. Let it cool off a bit first :D

The old balata golf balls were ideal for wedge play like that.

Very soft covers that got scratched fairly easily.. but.. you get a clean hit and those muthas were back spinning maniacs.
