Yeah, that image is associated with crosses but not with an empty tomb or a risen savior or love or anything else truly christian.

Where do you think the KKK got their outfits? That's traditional church dress in parts of Europe. The pointed hoods are supposed to help their prayers reach heaven, or some such. It was a normal, if odd, custom until the KKK perverted it. Much like the Nazis did to the swastika.
