Sure he isn't Phil Hartman, but I think he makes pretty much everything he is in better.

Lovitz murdered me in the movie "Rat Race" - he is a great talent.

I really do miss Phil Hartman, that man had exceptional talent. I recently
bought his SNL "best of" DVD.

"Rat Race" was great stuff, fer sure.

One of my favorite Lovitz characters was when he was portraying Michael Dukakis during the 1988 presidential campaign.

In actuality, Dukakis was so short and Bush was so tall the Democrats had an idea that was leaked that they were going to put Dukakis on a "riser" during the debates to make him appear taller.

In the SNL skit, Dukakis (Lovitz) kept flipping a toggle switch that activated a loud, shrieking hydraulic lift. He couldn't get the height right and it was jerking him around with the starts and stops he nearly fell off the podium.

Remembering trivial stuff like that is bizarre, but I loved that skit.
