Heh, I'd like to see Ardmore some time, mostly the historical stuff. I just never seem to have the time when I'm passing south on I-35 :(

Had lots of family there at one time; they've all passed on, though. My family's heyday there was 1930's-1963ish.

i thought the oldest bar in oklahoma was in Okarche at Eischens....and i'm pretty sure the internet will back me up on that ;)

The Eischens deal is that the "bar" is the oldest in Oklahoma - not the building.

I ate up there a couple of weeks ago they say oldest bar in oklahoma I don't know how to take that.

I think it's the one in Okarche. In your other post you linked to, the text says that the one in Ardmore is "one of the oldest." If it was the oldest, I'd imagine that would've said so.

Nah, you don't want to drive all the way from Ardmore to Okarche just to go to Eischen's. Just go to ONE of the oldest bars in Ardmo'
