On this day around 2000 years ago, on a barren hill beyond the city walls they nailed His body to the cross. Two robbers were crucified with Him. It was over. The crowd sickened quickly of its revenge and scattered; His friends were hiding; the soldiers were busy gambling for His clothing. Surely the victory of His enemies was complete. And yet - the lasting victory was His.

Your Good Morning correspondent is happy all are free to share in His victory over death.

Have a happy and blessed Easter

For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.
John 3:16 (KJV)

Aw, man...I was gonna make a Katie Couric joke when I saw the title of this thread, but I can't do that in an Easter story thread. Even I'm not THAT bad...

Happy Easter, everyone.

After reading stories to my 8 year old daughter last night, I asked her why she was so excited about the upcoming Easter holiday. She said, ["well, DUH" voice]"Because... I get all the candy and stuff. Oh, and the God part of it too."

Have a profoundly meaningful Easter, everyone!

I bought the DVD of that for just such a purpose. My family and I have also taken to having a modified Passover-type dinner on the Thursday.

Oh, BTW Homey, that picture doesn't have the 2 criminals in it. Let's be historically accurate, please. :D

In the grand tradition of the Puritans, I will say: HAPPY RESURRECTION DAY!

Local church down the road, which always has cathcy little billboards, had this one, "Easter, it is just not a day to dye for". Thought is was snazzy.
