is what I had for dinner. I made it myself and it tasted just like the chicken balsamico from Johnny Carino's (which is one of my favorite dishes)

I am awesome. :twinkies:

CHICKEN CACCIATORE

Combine the following to coat chicken:

1/2 c. flour
1/2 tsp. garlic salt
1/2 tsp. salt
1/4 tsp. black pepper
1/4 tsp. paprika

1 chicken, cut in serving pieces, dredged in flour mixture

1/4 - 1/3 c. olive oil
2 medium yellow onions, sliced or chopped
1 green pepper, sliced or chopped
4-5 cloves garlic, sliced or crushed
2-3 medium tomatoes, chopped
2-3 celery ribs, sliced
2 8 oz. cans tomato sauce
1/2 tsp. oregano
1/4 tsp. pepper
1/2 tsp. garlic salt
1/2 tsp. salt

After chicken is coated with the flour mixture, brown in hot oil and add the remaining ingredients. Simmer together until the chicken is done.
If needed, use the left-over flour mixture to thicken the sauce.

Serve over hot cooked spaghetti or fettucine, with salad and garlic bread.

For a variation you can cut the chicken into bite sized pieces before you start.

I'm surprised you haven't croaked yet after eating that. With your allergies and all there's gotta be something in that balsa wood chicken that you're allergic to.

It is worthless to start cooking success threads without recipes.

oh, I'm sure. though I didn't use that many ingredents--chardonnay, lime, chicken, balsamic vinegar, salt, pepper, parsley, butter, olive oil, pasta, roma tomatos.... i think that's it.

i keep ignoring my allergies thinking "eh, it won't be THAT bad"... the biggest mistake is getting smoothies with strawberries in them. they taste so good.... but I cough so much. :(
