I saw him open up for Limp Bizkit back in the day. He was pretty good.

I don't like his music either.

Sometimes I feel weird calling it music. I also hate flag drapers. He does that.

Kid Rock makes music?

That and a free ticket would pretty much be my motivation for going to one of his shows.

Depends on who you ask.

Denial is the first step.

Denial is the first step.

Okay, I admit it. When I wanna rock out in khakis and a wife beater with a Natty Light in my hand, then I like his music.

;)

Kid Rock is not white trash. He's quite smart, well promoted and is making **** piles off people that think he's the voice of the rockin' redneck generation. D00d is laughing all the way to the bank.

Does he have a new album or something? The dude has either fallen off the earth or gone back under his rock(no pun intended).
He is the rock star persona type- meaning that he's an attention whore - I can't imagine him being like Pearl Jam - happy just doing their own thing not caring if they sell big or not. Of course, their shows sell out fast still, so they have that going for them.

Well he's not getting my money, I know that.

And Metallica!!!!!!!
But James Hetfield had an accident a couple of days before so they played without him. But re-scheduled for a few months later. Which rocked!!!

I was never a huge fan, but I respected them for what they DID. Now? Not so much.

Well, he went from nothing to 12 times platinum, so he's got someone listening.

He is a savvy businessman as well, as JohnnyMack pointed out.

He did just release a live album, but that's really not new material, at least
not to me.

Was that when Hetfield got scorched by the pyro at the show? Toronto??

No. I think he had a jet ski accident or something like that. It happened right before they came to Dallas. Jason Neustad (sp?) took most of the vocals and Kid Rock and Korn took the lead on some other songs. It was an interesting day/night.

Oh yeah, the pyro thing was with Guns N Roses touring, and Axl
showed his typical azz, and wouldn't even play, causing a riot.

He has done a swell job of stretching 3 songs out along a 10 year period and calling it a career.
