I enjoy seeing athletes do something besides gamble their money away, go crazy, beat up their wives, try to make a ill-advised comeback, etc. I enjoy guys that do stuff that are kind of out of the limelight.
Take, for instance, Chris Dudley. The guy couldn't hit a free throw to save his life and was the empitome of tall, immobile white guys. Granted, he was in the league for 16 years, but he still wasn't much beyond a shot blocker.
In 1994, he established The Dudley Foundation to help children succeed regardless of economic, education or health liabilities. One of the foundation's key projects is the creation of the first basketball camp for boys and girls with diabetes. Here he is with one of the kids from his camp and President Bush.

Mr. Dudley, you still suck at free throws, but I give you two thumbs up.
Well done, sir.
