your phone selection sucks.
so, I want a PDA phone, but I'm not sure I want to make the jump to a big ol' treo or blackberry. Why can't they just carry a decent flip-smartphone?
Seriously, would I look like a turbo****** if I walked around with a treo? Remember, I work on a construction site.

Treo fits in your front pocket ok. Everything else has to go in the other pocket, though.
Unless you're a turbo****** that wears those really bulky pants. Then it will all fit just fine.

They don't have the best phones, but they have the best service and coverage.

I have never been as happy as the day I switched from Cingular to T-Mobile.

T-mobile sucks down here. Cingular is the best I've seen in San Antonio.
We get service where a lot of other companies bite the dust.
get an MPX200 or MPx220 from Ebay, good smartphone, and they are going for less than $150

I've got a busted one you can have for free. Broke, I returned it 3 days before the warranty, and they sent it back to me after a month. Broke in 3 days.
It was a good phone before it turned to a piece of crap.

I was thinking about the 220, and they have refurbed's for cheap, but it got mediocre reviews and I don't want to have to enter my dates into outlook using my number pad (similar to text messaging).
It's still probably my best option, though.

I recently was looking at doing the pda thing, and I didn't want to carry around a large phone. I ended up going with one that does a better job at mp3s. When it gets here, if I don't like it, I'm going with a Palm Treo or possibly Cingular 8125. I have 30 days to check it out anyway.

I have Cingular and get service out here in areas that don't seem possible. I have made phone calls from Crown King, AZ. If anybody knows where that is, you'll know how impressive that really is.

I got much clearer reception when I was in Orlando than when I am in Owasso. Calling people in Tulsa from both locations, that is.
