I credit Alexander Payne with populizing this after Terms of Enderment started it. Now there will be the next Payne movie, the one about the football hating loser, and this one with Seann William Scott as a wacky tennis coach coaching a down on it's luck Nebraska high school tennis team. I guess I better get cracking on my screenplay and cash in on the trend.

Yeah, I don't think the story of the sandhills has been told. ;)

Not in movie form yet, but Marie Sandoz did a nice job with her books, most notably Old Jules

I just got rid of about 10 copies of it that my mom had. They read them all. Dad used to hunt on the Sandoz place. :D

For the low population of the state Nebraska has produced some solid writers with Sandoz, Aldridge, Neinhardt, and Cather. Three of which were women.
