I'm a lemon-lime guy. I go through it every summer being the yard boy,
and have torn through a half of a case on the fence project.

Yep. The grape was really good.
I googled it a while back, seems like it was sold a couple of times and then discontinued.

Pepsico made all sport, then they bought the company that owned gatorade. So they sold off all sport.
Looks like it may still be around now, but it's not the same.

Lemon Ice (which did a Crystal Pepsi and disappeared).
So now it's Fruit Punch or Orange, although drinking them sometimes brings back those old memories of when I wrestled way back when...nervously taking sips, stretching, and waiting for the 'on deck' annoucement at tournaments. Funny how the Senses can invoke vivid memories like that...:eek:

hand this man a dollar. Yes, PepsiCo bought Quaker, which owned Gatorade.
All Sport is still around. Tough to find though. I don't think that I have seen it in a long time.

Just like Coke still makes Tab, but it's hard as hell to find. I know this

They all taste the same. Although I lived with a guy that bought one of the giant canisters of grape flavored powder mix one summer. I worked at the waterpark, so we drank a lot of that stuff. I've never shat purplish-green before, and I hope never to again, either.

Anyone remember the Gatorade gum? That stuff was awesome. You can get pretty much the same thing now, except it is called Quench Gum and it is put out by Mueller Sports Med.

Definitely lemon-lime. I buy the big cans you can mix yourself at Sam's. I think I figured once you can get the equilivaent of like 72 standard size bottles full for about $8 by mixing it yourself. The money saved is obviously spent on beer. :D

As far as allsport goes, the first time I bought it, I was biking. I didn't know it was carbonated. After that, never again.

Since I drink diet coke, to me gatorade is just too sweet. So when cycling I drink either Propel, only the Lemon one (it's made by gatorade) or sometimes Powerade Option, also only the lemon flavor.
I buy whichever is on sale, and usually get a case of propel every time I go to Crest.

When I was really little, and I used to get sick, my daddy would always go and buy me orange gatorade, so now whenever I drink it, it reminds me of that. I love the stuff.
When I am done working out though, I drink powerade. The red kind. When I was in HS, the band had a fund raising training ride for the MS 150 every year, and we used a lot of red powerade, all powder. And we got to keep extra, so we have cases and cases of powdered red powerade sitting around. Its also fun to spray water on peoples doors, and then empty a can of that stuff on it. :D Stains quite bad.

The Original. I remember taking a bottle to football practice when it first came out, back in '70....Swigged the whole thing in two drinks after practice (hot August two-a-days) and thinkin', "WTF, it goes directly into the body tissues instead of the stomach." Never felt anything like it....
