My oldest niece just received a letter from the Oklahoma School of Science and Math telling her she is a finalist to be part of the Class of 2008. The next step is an in depth interview. I am so excited, but puzzled as to how she ended up so smart.

She will know if she is admitted by June 1.

Great news, congrats to her. I'm sure the guys around there could use another girl to gawk at. And have intellectual conversations with. ;)

Yeah I told my boss and he said "that's awesome." I laughed because that is the school's acronym -- OSSM. I forgot about the Possums.

I doubt there will be smart chicks at that school any hotter than she is either.

I'm still mad at the homeless people who burned down the Ebeneezer church or whatever that was supposed to become the library.

Nope, she didn't get in :( Probably better anyway because my brother and his family is moving to Grapevine.
