great if you're a homeowner

looks like a benefit still to me, even with the new business stuff. I LOVE the smokers tax.

imo - a vote for kinky is a waste of the gas you'll spend going to the polls

i titled this thread incorrectly, its actually the new school finance plan

but if Perry passes this, then his only real contender (Strayhorn) is dead in the water as property taxes was her swan song

wonder if this would be put in place for the 2006 tax year.

I'm guessing it will be for the 2007 tax year and won't show up at the schools until the 2008/2009 school year.

BTW, how our wonderful family suing the district for not putting their son's religious club on the school website. There goes my chance for a raise.

I'm voting for Kinky because the Republican Party needs a major electoral defeat at the ballot box and I'm not quite willing to vote for a Democrat.

The proposed stealth income tax that we managed to stop was the final straw for me.

The proposed business tax would replace the franchise tax, which only a limited number of corporations now pay. It would apply to all but the smallest corporations and limited liability partnerships and be based on a company's gross receipts, after deductions.

So the lawyers in Austin figures out how to exempt themselves, wow , I'm surprised!
