Actually just south of there in Nixa, MO.

Long story short, the wife is taking a promotion but it's in Branson, so we're moving. I've never spent much time in the Springfield/Branson area. What's there to do other than Branson/Silver Dollar City/ Bass Pro type stuff?

Also, anyone know of any good places to work in Springfield?

I've considered moving to springfield just for the bass pro outlet.

you can go to Big Cedar Lodge and get ripped off.

Springfield has a tasty looking golf course.

I like it. I need to get my clubs re-gripped and I've been looking to get back into playing.

Yeah, I never thought I'd be moving this close to the Hillbilly Vegas, but I guess you do what you have to. Closer to T-town is always a plus.

I'm assuming this Big Cedar Lodge is sort of like the Wolf Creek Lodge up here by the Kansas Speedway. Huge cabin-y rooms and way too expensive. I hear there's a water park in the middle of this one, though.

We actually thought about living in Ozark. We had basically one weekend to find a place to live and Nixa had more openings, so that's where we ended up.

Well, the Cardinals have a new AA affiliate in Springfield...very nice ballpark

And isn't anything better than Kansas, Toto?

I dunno, I like Lawrence alright. I'm going to miss some of the restaurants and my job, but Springfield seems to be pretty cool.
