Apparently this is Christian in nature. I had no idea there were bands out there like this. Thoughts?

(needs QuickTime or something like that)

It's very uplifting.

DH has a couple of good, non-death sounding screaming songs.

I really liked that video, and they sound very professional... I just never knew something like this existed. I must say the tune was catchy, but then again I like weird things.

They weren't the only one. Just the 'biggest'.

Whitecross pwned them also.

90.9 in OKC plays that kind of stuff all night - from midnight till 4:00 am or so. I used to listen to it on my trips to Tulsa back in the day when I would leave OKC at 3:00 AM, but now I'm just too lazy to get up that early.

This goes back to my band name idea. You can make a band name out of anything. It's like the Family Guy Manatees.

Stryper/Hurricane at Lloyd Noble in '87ish rocked! :D

I like a couple of Demon Hunter's songs. They have a couple that are not death metal sounding and are really good.

There's so many good Christian Bands of all genres out there now it's amazing. There's just not many places to hear them. XM took off The Torch and replaced it with a "Let's play pop style music for 4 out of 5 songs" station. Like 90.9 most of the day.

If it's still around, 89.7 in Dallas is the best Christian Rock station I've ever heard.

Vengence Rising had some harsh stuff. I could dig some of the guitar, but the voice distortion was a bit much for me.

I CANNOT rock out to a guy that sounds like the cookie monster.

What's the point of being in a Christian rock star? It's not like you can pull in the wool....

Never saw them after Greg X Voltz left the group.

Greg X Volz was Petra.
Bob Hartman.

Schlit or whatever his name was was good too, I just never saw them after that and I started getting a little more into heavier stuff.

This Means War is one of my all time favorite albums.

I a fan of some pretty heavy stuff, but that might be a little too hard core for me. I'm more of a punk guy. They have a really good sound though.

I went the other way and got into lighter stuff.
