Is he related to Calvin?

OUDoc

Suddenly 100 people on the basketball board. Has it ever held that many safely?

That should make the Bobby Knight army in the Hoosier state happy.

1. I don't Blame him for making a Latteral move to a "Basketball School." He has never gotten suppot here and the guy has done nothing but win games and take us to the tourny almost ever year.

2. I blame the so called "sooner fans" for his departurer. This guy did nothing but win. No he never won a National Championship ...but nirther did Tubbs.

3. I hope we are able to keep our recruiting class here and online or we are going to fall more towards the bottom of the big 12.

4.This really really sucks.

I think Joe C will bring a good guy in here but its always hard to find a coach to fit a program and win on the first try.:( :( :(

Tubbs had a better tourney record.

Well, I hope the whiners are happy now. Sometimes you get what you ask for - and usually end up in a pile of stank.

Does Quinn Snyder have a job yet?

Dude on the Sports Animal said they should hire Byron Scott since his players only play 40 minutes anyway.

hehe...cold....

Thank you Dean.

Man I have just turned the other cheek all basketball season ...but I cant help but think if Sampson had some more support here he would still be here.

And if anyone thinks its good that is gone you are a complete moron

It's good for Kelvin, as long as he can keep the Indiana fans happy.

I'm cornfused. and i don't dare post in the b-ball forum. them's some upset people.

some people are saying it was a good move for kelvin. we're facing probation, indiana is a b-ball school, OU clearly is not.

other people are bitching that we fired kelvin.

which is it??

It really doesn't bother me one way or the other. I thought Kelvin was a good representative for OU but it's not like our basketball program was tearing things up. I hope he does well in Indiana.

Sometimes a change is good for both sides. Sometimes it isn't.

I think Calvin's safe. Has he ever left Norman in his life? Now I think the talk about a Sherri smilie should be shelved.

Does this Kelvin guy play safety? Cause we have depth at that position now, and it would suck to lose that depth.

I actually watched OU BB when Tubbs coached.
I kinda enjoyed 125+ point games.

But since then I have discovered the innerweb.

by the standards that people judge kelvin by, then yes. sampson made it the elite 8 the year after his final four and then the NIT. billy went to the sweet 16 with a team rated #1, got bounced in the second round with a team rated #1, and then went to the NIT.

both coaches have one other item in common, they should have won the title the year they were in the final four...

can't argue with that last statement. I'm still a Tubbs guy though.
I loved the passion Kelvin brought and he seemed to get a lot out of his players, until recently.:(
