Yes. This is a thread that talks about Oklahoma Sooners and football. This does exclude Texas and other colleges that do not involve the university of oklahoma. Discuss anything that involves, "Oklahoma", "Sooners", and/or "football". If anything you want to talk about does not involve any of these....take it somewhere else thanks!

Oklahoma- 46th state admitted to the union, statehood day November 16, 1907
Sooners- those who "jumped the gun" in the Land Run of 1889.
Football- sport that started collegiate play in 1869 with Rutgers defeating Princeton in a rugby-like brawl. Now arguably America's favorite sport.

Take away the Texas from OU, and you have Sam Bradford starting next year, no A.D., Quentin Chaney at WR...

get the point???

Why cry about other names mentioned? We all know OU is the majority's school of choice here at SF.com... Why not discuss OUr rival opponent, who lives in a state several of OUr alumni and future stars live in?

That's what made the 2000 RRS so great. UT was supposedly "God's team" before Saturday morning... and the tables turned much for the sweeter!

Sooner Football should run all year long. It'd work out, roughly, to one game a month, with setting January or December aside for championship games.

I figure we could run two games in October for a 12 game regular season schedule, and add a second game in November if we want a 13 game regular season schedule.

We might need some other teams to agree to the schedule change, but I figured I'd better not mention them. What with the thread rules, and all.

As to the NCAA's opinion -- they could kiss our, uh... Crimson donkeys? How's that?
