Now that the rain has come and washed the burn ban away, I have been planning to have a BBQ at my house at Dallas. All the Dallasites are welcome to attend. Plus I have a guest bedroom with a good size bed if any of you okies want to come on down.

I plan to cook a big brisket, pork shoulder, burgers & dogs (for the kiddies). If you want anything other cooked, bring it, the pit will be hot and everyone here from the South Oval is welcome.

I will do this on a Saturday afternoon probably around mid April.

PM me for more information....

Will keep everyone posted for a time.

Hope you beyonces can come.

I'll be up in Richardson next weekend, but I'll be pretty busy. It's a weekend of fellow right-wing lunatic college students :D

Yeah, I was pretty sure that we had one in effect here too. Now JK knows why he was getting all of those dirty looks from his neighbors as he sat outside with the flames from his open pit fire place danced about. :D

you know the scene in the movie Cast Away, with Tom Hanks, where he finally starts a fire....and he beats his chest on the beach, boasting about his fire making skills

well, a few weeks ago, when i finally made a really good rack of ribs....

lets just say i recreated that scene ;)

I worked for a guy who ran for State Rep who could make A-M-A-Z-I-N-G brisket. OMG let me tell you this brisket was just freaking amazing. Anyway, he'd have his out to his ranch once a month or so for brisket and margaritas. He'd also make his own BBQ sauce from scratch.

Oh man just thinking about it makes me want to camp out in PB40U's yard.

Wish I lived in Dallas this weekend - good idea pb.

I just put the rub on the pork shoulder and ribs - they will be ready to go come Saturday. However, none of you are invited. :D
