That thing is always a mix of fun and awkward. On one hand, there are some pretty neat things to buy. On the other, there are lots of strange people walking about asking you strange questions.

You going in costume? I think that would be fun....in a geeky kinda way. :D

I'll never forget when I was a kid and a woman did the "ride of Lady Godiva" through the fair. She had a long wig covering up all the delicate parts...but it still almost made my 14-year-old hormones explode.

It's good for dog watching. Like a doggie parade. Some of the food isn't too bad, either.

I once saw this chick walking on campus in a freaky outfit while the fair was going on and said, "Are you coming back from the Medieval Fair?" She said, "What's that?"

actually, I think the one here is kinda lame because there aren't very many people in costumes asking weird questions. There are just a lot of goth weirdos that think it's all nonconformist to dress in black and go to a ren faire

I can't wait to go! I even made a condition of employment at my new job to make sure I had these three days off. :D

And no, I don't "dress up" to go but the kids do. I really like the music.

...and don't forget to check out the Bilge Pumps...they funne'.

Mind your P's and Q's-

Ale was served at local taverns out of a "tankard" ... you were charged by the angle of your elbow ... half-way up... you drank a pint, all the way up... you drank a quart. Since the Quart cost so much more than the Pint, you were warned to "Mind your Ps & Qs"
