I've always noticed something about it but I was never really sure what it was.

see, mine just doesn't have the same zing that hers do.

mebbe it's her use of capitol (al?) letters and the use of the bold feature.

Definitlely. I've very proud of my own use of smileys and italics, but BSG takes formatting for effect to another level. Her pioneering use of a size 7 "OH MY GOD" was brilliant.
