has nothing to do with bill o'reilly or anybody else

has everything to do with being a parent of 2 boys, and having seen what a co-worker had to endure with his son's "obsession" with wrestling

when i was a kid, what we used to watch is worlds away from whats on TV these days.........its damn near soft porn

seriously, what good can a kid that young get from it?

i can remember the 6 year old neighbor kid out in the yard doing that X thing across his crotch

they don't watch the flesh for your information and their dad doesn't like wrestling at all. He happens to watch it for Animal and the Undertaker. Not for the wrestling but for the characters... Now, if you will so kindly mind your own business.
Oh, and I take them to monster truck shows too.. I'm a pretty bad parent I know..
Now, if you personally knew my kids and they were rotten turds then you could make your assumption. you have no idea how my kids are raised or what kind of boys they are..

dude, you're the one that posted this on a PUBLIC FORUM, so spare me the "mind your own business"

you're the one that said the WWE has turned into PURE FILTH and that you're 3 year old is watching it.....

i never said how your kids are raised nor what kind of boys they are, nor did i imply it.....i simply gave my opinion on what that crap has become from where it started, and gave a couple of examples (the real life kind) of what i've seen it do to kids

what the hell would be wrong with monster truck shows?

hey i get the whole appeal to wrestling, i've always said its a soap opera for men......the story lines and characters are whats appealing

whats sad though is the bastardized version you see today.....its MY OPINION (feel free to disagree) that its no longer kid friendly anymore

when i was a kid, we watched the Von Erich's, and that whole crew, and then the early WWF days when Hogan reigned supreme

It was when Hulk Hogan and Macho Man decided to team up as a tag team and Elizabeth got knocked completely out (or so, acting) by their opponents. Hulk scooped her up and ran to the locker room while Macho was getting double teamed on. Then there was the ole scene, Elizabeth....please be okay. Sob sob sob...don't die...sob sob.

There is more truth in your post than you may know. When McMahon did that to Bret Hart in Canada, that is when most of the old school wrestlers jumped ship and went to WCW. McMahon was getting killed in the ratings so he basically turned to foul language and semi nudity to gain the fans back, plus the questionable storylines didn't hurt matters either. He won the ratings war, but at what cost? I know that my kids will never watch the stuff that's out there now on WWE.

However, TNA is pretty "clean" and somewhat old school, plus they will be going primetime some time in April. The daughter and I do watch Sting when he is on because she thinks the face paint is cool. Other than TNA, the pfofessional wrestling business is basically like taking your kids to a rated R movie. In the end it's a matter of parenting choices.

Well they are getting a little better, they got rid of Kurt Angle's Anti-American storyline FINALLY. The women's division is about to get alot better, I think enough people have bitched about parading out untalented hot girls and having them get half naked. Mickie James, Trish Stratus, and Victoria are all capable in ring performers but Vince fired all of the Chyna-esque women. They have a girl on roster named Jillian Hall who is supposed to be spectacular and Lita is just about healed and they are developing like 5 girls that are supposed to be similar to like a Rey Mysterio in the ring. IF these girls show up and perform and the perverts don't run them off because they aren't quite Playboy material. I think Wrestlemania is going to be sweet outside of the Diva's pillowfight. Mickie James and Trish are going to put on a show. The ladder match will be sweet just because Van Damm, Matt Hardy, and Shelton Benjamin are in it. Plus the possibility that Ric Flair or Finlay will fall and break their old hips. It will be nice to finally see Cena get pedigreed and done with. Randy Orton, Kurt Angle, and Rey will be amazing. It will be fun to watch Benoit turn the Clothesline from Hell turned into a Crippler Crossface. I am actually excited

Bri are you ****ed about the Lingerie Pillow fight, I would have much rather seen MNM in action!! I was actually pretty upset.

Meh. The tag division is more or less dead anyway, and I'm never gonna say no to a catfight. ;-)

True, they should have had Kane and Big Show fight MNM and just move the Tag division to one show. The need to get Christian, Jeff Hardy and The Dudley's back from TNA and let the Tag division be awesome again.

Austin is inducting Bret Hart into the WWE Hall of Fame the night before WrestleMania. I guess Shawn Michaels had a previous engagement...

TNA is on Spike TV Saturday nights at 10 (I think). They replay it Monday night at 11 (again, I think). It's, like, the worst episode of Thursday Night Thunder EVAR.

I always felt Bret never really received his fair share of the blame for that whole deal. He did refuse to job, after all. It was a sh**ty thing for McMahon and Michaels to do, but Vince had a legit concern, and Bret wouldn't do the honors before leaving.

I haven't figured out why a grown man would watch that crap, much less a young kid.

Because we're f'in hillbillies.

Thursday Night Thunder was some bad chit.

I don't really know what Shawn really did wrong, he didn't even know what was going down and after Bret left, it only made sense for him to do what the boss said. If Bret can't forgive Shawn, that makes Shawn the better man.

WWE maybe filth (i guess) but one has to understand who the TARGET audience is. Its not KIDS (kids have NO $$$ to buy tickets), its not women (simply because they don't care), and its not ANYONE over the age of 45. The TARGET audience is however... MEN between the ages of 18 and 35. Thats it...thats the list! All wrestling is is a soap opera for MEN. So when the ladies come out wearing almost nothing its simply SMART business if you ask me. What do most heterosexual men enjoy seeing?? Thats right. So it maybe filth but they're knocking the ball out of the park when it comes to marketing that same filth.

I'm right there with you, man. Every time I watch Wrestling With Shadows, I'm struck by just how full of himself Bret Hart was...and is. You know that video of the fat guy breaking down at a convention, saying "IT'S STILL REAL TO ME!!!"? Yeah, that's Bret Hart. :D

Plus, I'm a huge DX mark, so of COURSE I'm gonna side with Shawn and Hunter on that one. ;)

I like the Cactus Jack persona the best and i think thats whats he's going back to. Crazy as a mofo. Makes for good stuff like blowing himself up and losing body limbs.

As far as lita... its crazy how they've COMPLETELY turned her charcter into something she was not at first. She was by FAR the best female wrestler who actually "wrestled" She could do all the moves and stuff and since she got hurt (i think) she hasn't gone back to it. Weird.

Breaking your neck doing those moves and almost killing yourself can be a pretty traumatic experience. She went through how many months of rehab? Then she tears an ACL (I think). Can't blame for her for being cautious and wanting to take a role that's maybe, less abusive on the body.

Whenever Lita comes out, I'm not expecting her tits to pop out of her shirt so much as I'm expecting her implants to rip through her tightly-stretched skin...

Have you heard the conspiracy theory that the Bret Hart, HBK, and Vince situation is a part of the biggest storyline in the history of the WWE? That Vince couldn't pay Bret so basically he figured out a way to pay him and use him at the same time. He sent a spy to WCW, where supposedly the WWE was suddenly getting similar storylines only quicker. Bret the Spy Man. Plus it set up the greatest WWE success ever with the Austin McMahon feud. And at Wrestlemania will be the culmination of the story...and technically Bret is still under contract for another 11 years.

FWIW, Shawn's admitted his prior knowledge of the screwjob. Came with his religious conversion. It's in his book and he's done a shoot interview admitting it. I agree that he committed the lesser of two evils, though.

I've heard the theory that this is all one big work, but I dunno. Bret would lose a lot of the respect from his fans, which he really seems to value (and place at an unhealthy level, IMHO). Plus, I think the trigger on the work would have been pulled by now if it was going to happen.

Anyone read her autobiography yet? I've just flipped through a few pages but I know it probably won't be anywhere near the book Mick Foley's was (how ironic).

From what I remember, Shawn was told the screwjob was going to happen minutes before the match, and he avoided Bret until it was time to enter the ring.
