probably the most stunning college basketball game I've ever watched. That Georgetown team was loaded, and Villanova played the perfect game. Probably a slight lean to that game over KU / OU '88 and NC State / Houston '83 (not sure of that year).

I still maintain the N.C. State win over Houston was the greatest upset in the history of the NCAA finals. Villanova and Georgetown had already played each other twice in the regular season, and were familiar with one another, so there really was no element of surprise in the matchup. Same with OU and Kansas in '88 (but I'm not going any further with that). But on paper, that Houston team in '83 should have beaten the Wolfpack by 20-plus points.
