He seems to think (http://www.nydailynews.com/front/story/400027p-338931c.html)

"She said some things that I won't share, but she did tell me that this could be bad for me - bad for my career. Well, screw you!"..."I'm not going to be threatened by Arianna Huffington!"

"I feel abused," he said.

"Nobody has ever written an op-ed piece for me. If I say I've written something, I've written it. When I go to the Oscars, I write everything I say."

Heh. What a tool.

That plastic nipple is quite disturbing.:(

No, actually, he did not stake a claim to deity.

He feels abused.

I think it has to do with his own feelings of self-importance.

vee jay I think if you educated yourself to what you are trying to talk about you would see that clooney is actually right in this

he authorized her to use some of his comments and she made it look like he had written a blog for her website.

he asked her to clairfy that he hadn't written it for her blog but rather she had taken responses to some questions and posted them on her site.

he said he stood behind what his statements were but didn't want the impression that he wrote a blog when the statements were illicited from questions posed to him.

I pretty darned conservative on some issues and pretty liberal on others. I don't agree with Clooney on all of his stances but I like the guy, so he's got that going for him ;)

I think it has more to do with Huffington using Clooney's name to push her product without his permission.

I find it neat-o that two Lefties are sparring. Especially when one of the Lefties is an actor, taking himself way too seriously.

He also brought up The Oscars as if it were a platform for his political views.

Yo, George. Run for office already.

why is it that you feel him standing up for his words is evidence of him taking himself too seriously

I think George has taken himself too seriously, esp in the past. Veejay, I don't get your fixation on this. He is pretty much in the right on this one. I guess you were hoping that others in the rank and file right would skim or not even read the link and harumph along with you.
I'd still trade places with old George for a weekend or two.

Just don't see why it means he thinks he is important when he is just trying to make it clear in what context his words were said.

Yo, George. Run for office already.he's just another hollyweird whack-o liberal. He's a likeable actor and the women drool over him, but he's consumed with self-importance and overcome by leftist drivel:) Like the other tinsel-town idiots, he's fixated on Bush-hatred..
